Phoenix Wright ( ˶ˆvˆ˵ )

Phoenix is the protagonist in (most) of the Ace Attorney games! He is, as one might be able to guess from the title of the series, a defense attorney :]

He's also one of my favorite AA characters!

I adore how he defies every expectation you have for a visual novel protagonist... Starting these games, you expect Phoenix to be bland; A blank slate on which the player can project. But soon enough you realize...

Phoenix is absolutely bonkers.

This man ate glass that may have contained poison. He ran across a burning bridge. He was able to win a trial while he had amnesia. He's determined, and unkillable, and he's a total bitch whenever the opportunity makes itself known. And yet in the same breath, he is selfless and deeply determined to save the lives of those he believes are innocent.

He's ridiculous and wonderful, and I'm a little unwell about him. So be it.

Some silly Phoenix facts and trivia that I like:

- Shu Takumi states that he thinks that before focusing on law, Phoenix was originally studying to become a Shakespearean actor, whereas Kumiko Suekane thinks he was going to be a manga artist.

- Phoenix only knows 3 types of flowers: Initially only sunflowers and tulips, and later, roses.

- He loves apples :]

- He once broke into a ranch and tipped a cow.

- He once scared off a potential client by wearing a punk rock t-shirt under his suit jacket, which happened to read "I'LL KILL YOU!!!" in bold letters.
